Having a slide or knocking your bike off its stand is stressful enough! To then discover that your engine casings have worn or cracked leaving vital oil all over the road is a problem you can do without.
The Motrax Engine Guards are made using the same technology currently being used in F1 and Moto GP. Each product is made in a mould produced by a highly accurate CNC Milling machine. The data required to do this is gathered by laser canning the original engine casing thus ensuring that each product fits superbly every time.

Fiber products get their strength from the fabrics used in the manufacture process. The pre-preg material used has been developed so that exactly the right amount of resin is distributed evenly through the product, resulting in
lightweight and structurally superior item, whilst many 'wet lay' items which are bulkier and heavier have exactly the same amount of fabric content. Each engine guard is made up of layers of Carbon
Fiber backed with Kevlar which is added due to its high abrasive resistance. Once each item has been cured at a high temperature, they are then cut again using the CNC mill. The end result is a highly durable guard that fits perfectly over your bike engine casings like a second skin.
Many Carbon products are finished with a high gloss lacquer or Gel Coat resin. Whilst this makes the product look good, it would be counter productive in this application. In a slide a gloss surface would offer little to no resistance, allowing the bike to travel further and risking increased damage.
Each guard is supplied with a silicone adhesive which has an incredibly high sheer strength. The adhesive remains 'rubbery' when cured which aids in
absorbing the initial impact when the bike first meets the road!
